We all saw this a while back right? Their semi-auto M4, M16, M249 Military Collector Series? Well Katie over at TFB just got her hands on one at the NRA meeting, confirmed that they're shipping in the early weeks of 2016, and that MSRP on the M249 is a surprisingly low $7,999! Honestly, my betting pool ranged from $9k-18k, so I'm a little surprised.

It's worth noting that these feed from STANAG mags too, (who knows how well) so you wouldn't only be limited to your 5 linked rounds. Beowuuuuulf!

I can only imagine the horror of the RCMP at having to classify this beast with its factory 20.5″ non-restricted barrel. :p I imagine it'd only take them a decade or so...

If I had more money than brains.... I would love to heave on in the safe... or on the wall.... but alas... No money.

Unfortunately I am guessing it will be prohib, if they are at all mechanically similar to the real ones.
simply removing the rear pistol grip pin disengages the seer. although I could be wrong and they may be different internally.

Seeing as how there is NO timeframe outlined in law requiring the SFSS to complete a classification... These will never see the light of day IMHO...

Cheers
Jay

$7,999... in US dollars...
Still not all that much for what it is...if they ever made it here they'd sell Didn't those $15,000 semi-auto MG42 replicas in the EE end up selling? And at least a few people have bough the Lynx from Tactical Imports at the same price.

I am sure the different militarizes that are using these types of arms don't pay anywhere close to what we are gouged. I know it's probably based on volume buys but what the heck several $1000 for a friggen MAC12. Unreal.

Hummm tempting.
Why dont we do a gofundme?
How would I go about importing it myself?
Do I just call fn, take out my credit card and tell them to ship it to my address?

I wonder if it can be ordered with a 25% (for example) deposit and the rest once you take possession.

Obviously this thing needs to be close bolt by ATF's policy, which means it needs a hammer or some kind of striker. the guts gonna be very different from the real deal. The manual of arms will be different - so it is really just for show.

It is an interesting conversation piece, but for that money I will build a HK IAR M27 clone with the 3.5X ACOG, much more practical.

The ATF approved it in the US. The RCMP labs rely heavily on ATF rulings. So I theory it shouldn't be that hard to get FRT#.
