Thinking of picking up a S&W m&p 15 sport. Seems like a good price and decent reviews. Anyone have first hand experience. I'm totally ignorant about ARS no matter how much I read. Looking for help from people wiser than myself.
I am by no means an AR guru and have limited experience but it appears to be a good value. Shot one once and found it to be surprisingly accurate at 100 yards. Have not shot a Norc AR so can't comment on those.
Read a lot of reviews on the M&P Sport. Good gun for an entry level AR. Missing the forward assist >>> who cares, nobody really uses it anyways. I'd buy it over the Norc or DPMS Oracle.
Good value for the money.... I own one. Full parts interchangeability with standard AR-15 stuff. I got in on the MIL/LEO discount at $749. As another poster noted; better than a DPMS oracle.
But..... Just to throw this out there!
Frontier has a Black Friday special running till Nov. 30 on a bushmaster XM15 patrol carbine "MOE" $500 off..... So it comes in at $999....
Which IMHO is a smoking deal! And probably better than the S&W..... My $.02.
has no forward assist or dust cover, isn't a milspec gun that being said doesn't cost anywhere near one either. I think they are excellent value, and would definitely recommend over a norc or nea.
