Hmm, now that vanguard weather guard has been called to my attention, I reall think I want one lol.
When I am buying another rifle I always add $1,500 for optics, rings, sling, case, dies if needed etc... Give or take of course.
Hopefullu not after buying a 3-400$ rifle...
If the OP had suggested a comparably priced Remington or Mossberg, what would you choose?
just because a rifle may cost 3-400 doesn't mean you should put Barska optics on it. If it's accurate, give it good glass and give it a chance!! A sling is a sling, a case is a case, dies are dies, etc...
However I don't care if it cost $50,000, if it can't shoot, put the good glass on something that does.

Thanks for all the replies! ! I'm thinking of getting the nikon prostaff 2.5-10x40mm. The best price in calgary I can find is $380. Any thoughts? For the weatherby vanguard s2 of course
