Side by Side Shoot / Get Together

I have read about various side by side shooting events that are held down in the US and wondered if there would be any interest in having something like that for Southern Ontario. A few of us have discussed the idea informally and thought it would be fun to get together to show off some SxS's, share information and maybe shoot some clays. I will throw out the date of Sunday, November 29th at Toronto International Trap & Skeet. (no membership required) Post if you are interested and if there are enough responses we can pick a time and have an informal get together and then maybe plan another for down the line.

Im in!! It will be a cold but fun day! If its windy enough, it will be that much more challenging to shoot my side by side which im sure will make for some laughs

So far, it looks like we'll have a decent turn out. I guess I'll need to head out and stock up on some 16g ammo. Otherwise, I'll end up being the camera man.

Great to see that a few people can make it and hopefully we can get a few more. James, are you going to rent a trailer to bring your collection? I think maybe we will have to have a vote for the "Best Gun Award"......

Just thought I would bump this thread as a reminder for those who know they want to join us and an encouragement for others to come out and have some fun. I'm from Winnipeg so late November Toronto weather should be balmy!

Hopefully you can at least stop in even if not for long. You do not want to miss out on the opportunity to become a founding member of what will soon be Canada's largest and most prestigious double gun gathering. LOL. Hopefully we have a good turnout.

Next weeks get together is now going to be held at the Oshawa gun club with a 10am start time. We can get acquainted , go shoot some clays and then spend some time at the clubhouse having a coffee and looking at some nice side by sides. Looking forward to it. Cheers.
