Hey,

does anyone know where I can get either a Swiss Arms quad rail, or preferably some sort of rail to mount on the side of the stock hand guard? I'm looking to mount an IR illuminator/flashlight.

If your swiss arms rifle has the small holes in the side, one of the Falcon industries / ergo grip "universal fit" rails would probably work (One Shot Tactical usually has them in) otherwise if you feel competent drilling holes in the side or bottom of your handguard and using steel tee nuts to mount them, there are a ton of little shorty picatinny rails available.

Wolverine Supplies carries Brugger and Thomet rails and accessories, and I believe they are the only game in town for a full quad rail (at least for the SWISS made guns) although they are a pretty penny!

My personal recommendation would be to put one just below the gas port vents on the upper handguard, either use the factory hole locations or drill your own.

I was thinking about doing that. I was just hoping to avoid drilling my own holes into the hand guard. If I can find something a bit more "stock" or OEM, I will do that. However this does seem like a good idea.

Thanks!
