I know they are not a site sponsor but if you are in need of 22 ammo Canadian Tire in Cold Lake just received a major shipment. When I left at 10 am they had 62 Remington 1400 round buckets in stock and 26 Winchester M22 1000 rd packs left of 62 last night at 6 pm. They also have tens of thousands of rounds of other brands of 22 ammo in stock. They also have LOTS of other ammo including factory .303 British and even Imperial lead shotshells.

I noticed more .22 ammo in our CT also. I'm sure glad I stocked up 4 years ago when bricks of stingers, velocitors and segmented were $35.00 a brick.

At $68/1000 brick it works out to $34/500 brick. The Remington 1400 round count buckets work out to .0714 cents per round and the Winchester .0680 cents per round. It's still cheap shooting.

I have never tried the Remington's in my 10/22. Mine likes the Winchester M22 though so I bought 10 of the 1000 round bricks......and one of the Remington buckets to try them out.

I'm impressed! You must do a lot of shooting. Do you spend a lot of time target shooting or is it being used up by others or are you storing it?
I suppose many use a .22 to work on various shooting techniques and save the large calibers for serious business?

I can go through a brick ever trip to the range, between different calibers I bring, maybe 750 various rounds in all. Now that cash is short maybe a couple hundreds round per trip, don't want to use up my stash to quickly.

I primarily shoot gophers all summer with it. It's nothing to burn a brick on a good pasture in a couple hours plus it can be a real bugger to find around here so when I locate some I buy all I can. I really had to fight the urge to buy every pack of the M22 ammo. The only thing that stopped me was I still have some X-mas shopping to complete, I'd like a new scope for my Ruger 1V and it wil be RRSP time soon.

Back in the 70's and 80's my dad used to take us out to farmers he knew in the area. Me and my brother would go through a brick each shooting gophers and my dad and the farmer would go through a 60 ouncer. LOL
