Who cares if the price comes down.....it might get more people on board...which makes for a stronger head count owning restricteds. At the end of the day, boo hoo to anyone wanting to keep value. Think of the bigger picture and less about yourselves. That's a prime reason why they are restricted now.....cause everyone was thinking about themselves instead of the group back then too.
the reality is that the way CC decided to finally come to market was very poorly executed. It was greatly appreciated, but poor executed none the less. They do charge a premium for their stuff, which some would think was worth it. as with all new stuff that is in high demand, YOU ARE GOING TO PAY FOR IT! if pricing is an issue, waiting out is the way to go...falling victim to "it'll never be available again" is the chance you have to take. With CC being under Colt Defense and the latter hurting, it only stands to reason that they will try and make money where possible. So I am hoping that CC wakes up and starts selling their rifles for what a milspec rifle is worth....about 1100-1500.00 CDN at this current market and dependent of options. CC will end up selling more rifles, parts and accessories than they can shake a stick at. OTH, their pricing for LE rifles is also too high.
just saying

actually, the gvt strongly was on the mind of prohibiting the ar15 only the dominion of canada rifle association strongly lobbied and the gvt restricted them instead.
I'm tired of reading complaints of the price drop. Suck it up buttercups maybe next time they will just destroy the slightly damaged ones instead. No one cares about your little nicks and dings, I want to hear about some range reports.
This I agree with, I finally picked up a CC stripped lower off another cgn member, I never thought It would take this long never mind all the other rifles that have reached the market from CC. I really wanted a 10.5 and 11.5 from CC. I love the 15.7 but have so many ARs of that barrel length it just doesn't make sense for me yet. but I'm really resisting the IUR $599 deal it is so tempting.

Awesome bro, thanks for reviving an argument everyone stopped having.
wow, you guys are #####ing that the price of "FACTORY SECONDS" is lower then the first run of perfect uppers...... grow the hell up and appreciate the deal, frankly what i would of liked to see is colt mark the upopers with a "2" or something to denote they where sold as seconds, that way they would not diminish the market for the originals, or if any more first runs are released.
These are not "factory seconds". They have blemishes or marks because they were shipped overseas for a contract that as it turns out was not extended so they got shipped back, the damage was from bulk shipping and less than perfect handling. Not that it matters much, just thought you like to have the facts.
