Hi,

Got JR carbine in .40s&w and it DOES NOT shoot well lead bullets.

Does someone has any experience what type of bullets and what grain to use in 40 cal JR carbine for accurate load at 50 yards?

I am planning to try cam-pro bullets (they are in Montreal ). They have 180gr and 165gr TCFP bullets. Want to know which one has better accuracy from jr carbine .40 cal rifle .

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

doesn't shoot with factory cast or your cast bullets?

Being a pistol caliber is much easier to load than a bottle neck caliber; far less variables for accuracy. Guns are all unique, and some people don't get that.
As a general rule, I would say that a pistol caliber should shoot straight out of any gun at close range, but when trying to shoot longer distances, there may be things with the gun that make one more accurate than another.
reloading is more of a recipe than a math equation. You cant just ask what will make my gun shoot straight (X+Y=Z).. it doesn't work that way. Its more like "try a little of this, maybe add some of that"
I've met some guys that swear a different primer makes a world of difference in the accuracy of their pistol.

What type of groups are you getting, and what are you trying to achieve? Is the gun not living up to your expectations?
I came to the painful realization after spending $1800 on a Benelli MR1 that it wasn't going to do what I had expected it to do. sold it and moved on.

What I am asking is if someone has any experience shooting .40 s&w reloads from JR carbine (not other firearm) and what grain bullets they are using. I am looking if someone who has this experience with JR carbine rifle.
I want to buy 1000 TCFP bullets for reload and would like to know what grain bullet (165GR OR 180 GR)will shoot more accurate from JR carbine.

I need the load for JR carbine only! Thanks

The only way to tell for sure is to experiment with both bullets weights and different loads in YOUR carbine.
Just because something works for me doesn't mean it will work for you...

Here's the advice I've been given time and time again: Nobody can tell you what accurate load will work on your gun. But the bullets and work up your own load. Start with minimum load and work up by small increments. Observe your results and choose wisely.
