Opinions with the original CSA mount. I have no love for reflex or red dot sights and the one in the pic is farrrr to big with not enough eye relief ... An under 300$ :p

I've gotten 300y out of my cz 527. It isnt any MOA or anything but on a 12"x12" piece of paper I can pretty much get a good 6" group.

What is the eye relief like for ya on the cz!?!?!?

I personally prefer the POSPs/ POs .... ejecting brass could still pose an issue for those scopes too.
The stock VZ buttstock doesnt offer a great cheek weld for those scopes either... a different stock or a strap/bolt on cheek weld device like what the M1a guys use does solve the problem.

Great! , I own 3 of them now.. all 3 of them are interchangeable between the 3 side mount equipped red rifles i own.

I plan on buying a PKA style sight this winter or spring. (especially if the CAD dollar gets better :/ )

I had the scope mounted far back enough where it wasn't a problem with cases hitting it. That photo was when I first mounted the scope and where it is in that photo was a problem but never had a casing go back into the breech. After my first range trip with that set up, I pushed the scope a bit further back and I never had a problem.

So far no luck trying my full size scopes with my mount set up. I would have prefered to stay away from the reflex/red dots. I can get pasted 100 yards with them at all. I need magnification!

Will thos mounts fit on the regular side rail then?

no, unfortunately not. And those scopes blow your $300 dollar budget out of the water. I think your best solution would be figuring out a way to bolt a tin shell deflector to your side rail mount.... attaching some sort of cheek weld device to your stock, OR buy a CZ 958 when they come to market. OR buy a Magwedge rail mount for the VZ 58 .
