I got a new scope that will either go on my VZ of weatherby .308, a Trophy 6-18X40 Riflescope.... Bushnell has so far yet to fail me even with 30 year old scopes so i am confident in most there quality on slightly smaller the .308 calibers, But worried about the .308 recoil. The model is 73-6189WM Trophy XLT Riflescope - Multi-X Reticle model pics are below! From reviews its it "should" do fine.

It will be fine for the recoil, biggest issue you may run into is it only has 38" of adjustments. As long as the base holes, bases, and rings all line up well then you will be good to go.

ooo..... So if going out to 800 with not added moa on the base i may have issues?

You could have issues getting zeroed at 100m if everything doesn't line up, I've run into that before with scopes on the low end of the adjustment range...
For recoil though, I had a Trophy 3-9x40 on a lightweight 30'06 and it held up fine, no worries about the durability.

Probably. If you zero at the center of the adjustment range, you'll only have 19MOA +/- to work with. 800yds will need around 25MOA.

A slanted base, one-piece mount with built-in MOA or something like Burris Signature Zee rings with the inserts will help.

Thanks guys i decided to play it safe and go with the tally made rings for the weatherby to avoid bottoming out at 100. Ill go from there, atlest i got them for sub 60$ shipped and taxed.
