I didn't have the cash to buy one when they came out last year, but I'm wondering if they lived up to all the hype. What's your opinion?

I'm running a M1 and love it. One of my most accurate pistols, and the ergos are great. Paddle release took a little getting used to, but not too hard (obviously not an issue with the M2). I now use it more than my Glock, Steyr or Sigs, and it's my go to for IDPA.

I'd like to know to because I'm still kicking myself over a deal I missed on EE - PPQ M2, threaded barrel, think it had less than 200 rounds down the pipe, sold for $675.

I didn't even see that one.

Surprisingly, it was on there for a while. He had another low round count pistol for sale as well, but he didn't accept EMT, and my buddy from the LGS was able to get me a brand new one for $725 plus tax. I was humming and hawing over whether or not I wanted to pay an extra $125 (with tax) for a virgin unfired one. I hummed and hawed too much and the one on EE sold. By the time I decided, the one at the LGS also sold, and now there aren't any in stock. Buddy said he'd order another one for me, but who knows when it will arrive. So pissed, lol!

Fuk. Buddy just texted me with an M1 for $550.....and here I am humming and hawing again......not really sure I like the lever mag release, I much prefer the push button one, but $550, damn!!! What should I do?

PPQ M2 is an awesome pistol and the trigger is superb - very crisp with a short reset. On some models the sights are made of plastic and will not stand up to abuse of any kind. If the front sight snags a barricade you can kiss it goodbye. I replaced mine with high-end, high-viz steel sights and a fiber-optic front sight. Also added Talon grip-tape, makes for a more positive grip. It shoots super well. It does take a bit of getting used to but in my opinion it is probably the best striker-pistol in its price range. I have had both the 4" and 5" models. Like the 5" better. Unfortunately I will be selling my PPQ shortly on the EE as I have too little opportunity to use it anymore. Keep an eye out for it if you are interested. Will come with a Comp-Tac competition holster and a beautiful leather DeSantis OWB holster as well as six mags. With that you would be all set for IPSC Production. Still pondering asking price.

Just bought the M1 for $550. I've seen a very lightly used M2 go for as low as $675, to a brand new unfired one go for as high as full retail of $900. Extra mags are always nice. I picked up a Sig Tac Ops not long ago, also lightly used for $900, came with 8 mags. Extras don't always fetch the best prices for the seller, but it worked out for me. If you want to get the most for your money, sell separately, or if you're in a hurry to get cash and dump your stuff, sell together.

Nice avatar and name, take it your Armored Recce?
