Concern about my new CZ527 rifle

I just bought a CZ 527 rifle this pass weekend. I haven't shot it yet but I'm loving it just by handling it at home. However I find that the magazine sits very tight against the bolt. It takes a fair amount of force to seat the magazine when the bolt is closed. Operation of the bolt is rough when the magazine is in (it's very smooth when the magazine is out). Is this normal for this rifle? Should i bring the gun back to the dealer or ask for a different magazine?
 
I would try to put some material ( grease ) etc on the mag lips to try and see what's touching , the mag follower shouldn't put pressure enough to feel resistance
 
I know it's a different rifle but a friend's XCR has the same issue. It takes quite the smack to seat the magazine with the bolt closed. He's told me that's just the design of the gun.

FWIW, I have 3 magazines for my 527, and the issue you describe comes up with none of them.
 
I bought a 527, a year ago at a gun show that was poorly bedded, barrel not centered in stock channel, and mag didn't fit well, fell out as wasn't locking correctly. I got the rifle new, after a lot of haggling for $600,
took it home and re did bedding and now its great, very accurate .17 hornet varmint.

loosen off the action screws, a turn out a turn or two, and see if mag and bolt still bind, if no longer binding, then the action will require a new bedding job. not uncommon for a Cz to require minor tweeks, I have had to bed two of my Cz 527, I have three.
 
thanks for the replies guys. I tried loosening the action screws but it's no help. I'm going to take the gun back to the shop.
