It is an interesting firearm, but it is in the same category as the RFB. Any small arms that cannot be cleared by fingers to the extraction and feeding area are no go in my book.
At least the FN tuna has the toilet seat.

I like the RDB from what I have seen of it. With me being a southpaw the rifle would be a good fit for me.
But as Greentips said, not being able to see and clear jam ups is a deal killer. That and the fact it is a Kel Tec. Their reliability and quality is not what they are known for. I would take a left handed Tavor any day of the week over the RDB if i had to choose.
The M43 looks neat though. But its just a rebadged RDB. So in the end the same issues.

I used to own a gen 2 RFB and a gen 2 KSG and both were well made and 100% reliable. My gen 1 sub-2000 was reliable once it went through around 750 rounds, you could feel the difference as it broke in and it worked better and better the more I used it. The sub-2000 felt cheap but I think it was a pretty good rifle considering the price. No one ever factors in that if they had upped the build quality and made it with more steel it would have been much heavier and more expensive.
Kel-Tec makes a pretty good product when you look at their higher end stuff. I think most of the bad rep came from that 22mag pistol and a rifle they used to make.
Just because the RFB and KSG use a lot of polymer doesn't make them cheap or crappy. They use quality steel where it's needed and polymer where they can to save weight. Anyone who says they're all plastic has never stripped one or held one.
Ever heard of HK? Not many people think they make junk just because they use modern polymers in their builds. Don't get me wrong, I'll pick HK every day if the price was equal but they don't really offer anything in the affordable category for us other than the SL8 series which I've owned two of over the years and if the right deal came up I'd probably buy another one.
From the reviews I've read and the video's I've watched on you-tube the RDB looks like a quality product and is performing well south of the border. I'm looking forward to getting a chance to play with one
KSG ( and also FN F2000) uses clam shell construction held together by screws. FN even clam shells 2 plastic pieces to form the barrel trunion. Clam shelling is an airsoftgun/model kit technology because the mold making and molding are easier.
HK plastic receivers are not clam shells held by screws. They are molded in once piece with steel rails embedded during the molding. The same kind of technology they use in their pistol frame.

I love my RFB - but that is EXACTLY why it would never be my choice if my life depended on it. It's been very nearly 100% reliable, and for plinking or hunting, it's great, but I'd much rather use something I can easily clear if needed if I was using it for anything really important. Doubt I'll buy an RDB.
Saw an in depth review of the RDB on Military Arms Channel last night and it just made me want one of these rifles even more. Its a very cool design and seems to be very reliable. When these become available I will be in the lineup to pay for one.
I spoke to a guy at Desert Tech a few months ago and he said that we wouldn't see the longer barrel version till the 16 inch had been out for around a year. They figure they will sell a lot of the 16 inch version ones in the US and will need to catch up to demand before they start to worry about the longer one. He did confirm that they will be using Lothar Walther barrels in them so they should be pretty accurate.
