Show your reloading benches

Don't have the luxury of building over a room (which I'd much rather do), and was going to build my own bench until I found this lovely unit at Costco.....

For unde $400, I got a rally good, heavy, smooth worktop, lockable storage for powder/primers, space to put smithing/reloading tools, dies, bullets, brass, etc. Bar chairs are about the right height, it's got heavy locking casters and moves around easily when unlocked on a smooth floor, but when locked, stays sturdy in one spot. Ample storage, lots of bench top work space, and for the price, I couldn't have built one similar for the same. Love it.

That the one I was looking at when I was in Moncton. I wasn't in a position to purchase at the time(No way to get it back to the island) So how firm is it when using the press? Move or give any? And do you have it bolted directly to the table top or are you using a plate of sorts for support?

Thanks to my dad giving me an old workmate I just set up an apartment reloading bench. Not as impressive as many of the great layouts posted here, but I was happy to set up everything for tidy use in a very small space. I took the tabletop dimensions (73.7cm X 53.3cm) from some random plans and I wish I had had gone a few inches deeper to have more room for bits and bobs while I'm working. There is an unpictured counter nearby that I keep extra stuff on only while I'm loading. I haven't screwed down the powder thrower yet because I want to figure out the most efficient layout before I drill holes in my free-grade plywood.

Why so few bullets? I mean really, come on.... Any self respecting gunnie has more than twenty thousand..... Oh wait, I count what, about 22 thousand projectiles there? Wow.... I thought I had an addiction!

Was down to about 5k of 9mm projectiles, so picked up another 25k in 147 gr and 5k in 124gr. Starting to load 45acp for my S&W 625 so added 2k in 230gr LRN and 5k in 185gr HBRN. I get a great deal from ShooterReady.com and this way I only need to drive out to Abbotsford to pick up once a year :)

Thanks, they sure are had to flip a door screwed in some shelves and lag screwed them to the wall! Worked out really well trying to come up with something for tool storage now (hate that damn peg and slot board).

Just got into shooting 2 years ago and this black friday I picked up my reloading supplies. I rent so I needed something portable and easy to store away from my toddler. Loaded my first batch but I'm a terrible shot so you don't get to see that.

Lots of inspiration in this thread!! Getting mine down to the finishing touchs finally.... The varnish is easy to clean and tough but turned the top yellow. Bench is sturdy as all getup and I probably went overboard on the press mounting, ugly as hell but it what was in the shop and I never want to think of it again - ever ;)

Have to figure out how to hang the bows, finish the bench's front door and locks tomorrow, the room's door has a nice reinforced lock area with hinges on the inside along with barring the window... My neighborhood is great but my Dad's caution sunk in so many years ago!

I have to really recommend the T5 flourescents! With a mylar reflector the lumens above the bench is nuts, the pictures don't do it justice. I did notice how awful my spare Leupold looks on the ought six, got me thru this season tho. Wife will fill and paint the rest now and it should start to look like something. Powder is even available these days!

I thought I was a terrible shot too, until I started reloading. I quickly discovered that I really wasn't as bad as I had initially thought, and the crap factory ammo that I was shooting was at least partially to blame.

I have since upgraded my opinion of my shooting skills to "almost adequate".

It's a work in progress...
