What is your brand loyalty and why?

You likely had a Turkish Huglo then, CZ just rebrands Turkish SxSs for the small frame doubles, I had the Bobwhite 28g. But then Winchester does the same these days, Portuguese Model 70's, and Miroku levers.

Always laugh when I get told I should have bought a cz instead of my Yildiz in 12 gauge OU..... Thanks

I never really had any intentional brand loyalty I just opened the safe one day and realized I had 4 ruger pistols and if I wasn't enjoying the abundance of Colts finally available I'd probably have 2 or 3 More Rugers hanging around.

As far as rifles go,pre-64 Winchesters . . why? . . because I like'em, always have, since I was a small boy. . I do own and have a fondness for older Savage 99's.

Shotguns, again, pre-64 Winchesters. . aside from my Browning Superposed and my Dad's Wingmaster.

Handguns, it's Colt and S&W, earlier ones..

Skip the Savage, embrace the Kimber. Spend the Savage money on stepping up to better optics. :)

Put yourself in my shoes, I'm tickling 70 yrs., recuperating from lower lumbar surgery and seriously considering a Kimber Adirondack in 7/08.
Do you think that would be a sensible choice or perhaps a different chambering ?
I'd love to do a Sheep and/or Goat hunt at least once before they pour me into the urn...

Much as brakes get talked down here and I'm no fan as generally I don't find them necessary, I can't deny for a high 4lbs rifle the Mountain Ascent with its brake felt incredibly soft on the shoulder. Both ways, in carry and shooting, the only sad part is what they cost right now. You'd be welcome to ride my plane with your resident tag on an empty leg Kevan chasing mountain goat.

I'm partial to Winchester's but the last couple years have done most of my hunting with my Savage hog hunter in .308
For my next purchase I'm thinking of trying a Browning or Ruger

Careful my Friend, that's too hard an offer to turn down..

1950s Husqvarna rifles because over the years I have been generously given three of them and they work.

I have 2 browning riffles. Abbot 300wm took some getting used to but shoots nice groups at 200 yards. Blr in 308 win only purchase half a box out so far and it's great. My favorite carry in the bush is my 336rc 30-30

For rifles it's older Rugers (because they are made to work) and Brownings (because they are very pretty). Mostly odd ball discontinued models. So far the ratio of Rugers to Brownings in the safe is exactly 50/50.

They only other brand that's there is a Benelli 12 gauge
