Who makes Cabelas scopes?

The Euros seem to be made by Meopta.

The cheapies are made in China, by the Chinese. What company actually makes them is not known, or made privy to the sales outfitters.

I had a really awesome salesperson last time I went to cabelas, he told me it was a Meopta(Euro model). It was really good, He threw it in as a surprise when I was doing a blind comparison with a Zeiss, Swarovski, Minox etc. It was really good glass, definitely won the bang for the buck prize.

Just wondering.
Are the scopes made in China for export of poorer quality than the one made for the Chinese Military.
Probably similar....they have 1 billion soldiers... they don't really care about soldiers. Look at the #### guns they arm them with lol

I think you mean 1 million soldiers...(more specifically 1.25 million in the Chinese army). If they had 1 billion soldiers they would only be protecting 357 million civilians. Pretty well protected to be sure, but perhaps a touch heavy handed. ;)

Thanks,
Cal.

I am told the Euro instinct is Meopta and virtually the same scope as the old Ziess Conquests.

I've had both Zeiss and Meopta branded Meopta in the 3-9, and 4-12 range, and prefered the Zeiss on both accounts. Not to say the Meopta weren't good, but the Zeiss were just a touch nicer all around. Still, those Meopta are nice. Especially when on sale.

Thanks,
Cal.
