Ain't no way you're getting those guns @ that price. People make mistakes, we are all human. Let us know how you make out...

Plus here's a question for you--if you were selling a gun on here for $1500.00 and by mistake typed in $15.00, would you sell it to the first person who said I will take it? I bet not and I'm sure you would hope that the person would understand a mistake was made. To error is human.

Yep that's true Cabela's Canada posted it for 39.99$ each last week for a little time. It was an error they told me. Is there something i can do for that ?
Are they obligated by a law to send them to me at that price ? I have the bill and they took the money from my credit cart.

I hope you can help me out.

Cheers,

Olivier

I'm surprised that you posed such question on a public forum. Is that worth it to even slightly compromise on ethics and intergrity so as to expect to take advantage of such a situation?

It's been a long time since my school days but if I recall, they are not obligated to sell it at that price. From a contractual view, the posted price is simply an invitation for you to make an offer at that price, which they can accept or decline. Merchants who honor the price posted in error are simply trying to keep a customer happy. I could be full of it, though.

I was the one who called cabela's first to tell them that there where at that price. They saved time an money because of me. The girl at the phone told me that there is probably an error and that a superviser would call me. But since that no news and no refound.

The reson why i asked on the forum is to know if it ever happened to some one. Will they refound me ? will they send me the guns ? I know that it happened to apple and best buy and they sent the products. Is it the same for firearmes?

I'm not trying to steal anyone. I'm just looking for your opinion on that befor i get news of them.

Thanks !

Olivier

Seriously, your looking for a handout?
Even if they had such a policy that the price is such grossly incorrect even a Union Thug could see how wrong it would be.
Something like a disgruntled employee or even a current employee on his/her way out screwing the boss over.
But, I digress have at err and let me at least know how you made out.

most union thugs would pull their book out of the pocket and point to policy and file a greivance......

OP, make sure you get your coin back, and if it was my business I would issue you a gift card..... just something for $50 or so for correcting my mistake....

Good luck man! Most of those large companies have it written into their policies that they can change their mind at anytime and charge you whatever they want. But if by some stroke of luck you do get it, power to you! Haha

think it will depend on how you handle it (more bees with honey then salt motto). Its an incredible deal but they are huge chain so just might honor it. Make sure you get peoples name you talk to there so you can refer to them if need be. I once got 2 rain coats for 9.99 a piece from Marks they were supposed to be 99.99 and they honored their mistake.

How one handles it won't make any difference IMO. We are talking like two $2800 dollar shotguns are we not. The OP must have hit his head hard or into the christmas cheer real early to even dream any company would go good for that for what he paid and to make it worse two of them for 115 bucks .
OH Boy
Cheers
Then again maybe the OP

Different breed out there today unfortunately Ahsan. I see it in my girls and they sure didnot learn it at home that is for sure. I agree with you 100%

I once bought a mislabelled Zeiss scope from a larger Ontario retailer for more than 60% off the regular price. I didn't make a fuss and even pointed the mistake out to the manager. Nonetheless, they honoured the price and I walked out shocked. Not as egregious as the OPs scenario but sometimes retailers are more than happy to honour the wrong price.

You can be sure that a retailer getting the wrong costs from their supplier would pocket as much of the difference as possible without passing it on to the customer.
