Mystery pistol in .22lr

I have something like that years ago.
when century arms pulled out of Canada circa C68, they cleaned up the warehouse and I bought a
box full of guns for cheap and one of them looked like this.
I will go back throu my ledgers and see if I can find it, I think I know who bought it.
It looks factory made to me, if the bore is good , should shoot fine.
It will be the only one at the range

The front sight reminds me about german handguns, e.g. P38. The back reminds me about german late WW2 flare gun. I would not be surprised that it's some limited production gun from 1946-49 period

Don't know a thing about the gun itself, but I suspect that the name on the paperwork is a bit of a mis-spelling.

"Le Moustique" (pronounced roughly like a Maudit Anglo would say "la mustic" ) is French for "The Moskito" - an appropriate enough name for a single shot pistol.

If it's old enough, and there are no maker's marks on the pistol, this kind of mistranslation would be fairly common.

Cheers, good luck in your quest.

Bring this puppy out to BC and I'll test fire it for yah!

This thing looks awesome! I'd love an oldschool lookin' who-the-f-knows-what-it-is pistol....

I can't help you at all with what it might be, other than the straight grip makes me think it came from Europe a looooooooong ass time ago.

Whats the trigger pull like? Funny lookin' little trigger on it...

Its looks like a European design of some sort, other than a lot of handling marks it appears to be in pretty good shape.
