Just wondering if there is any full size guys using the X-bolt Micro Hunter.

The reason I am asking this is I would like to get one of these rifles for my wife,..(she finds my 30-06 X-Bolt and A-Bolt a bit too big),..but I would also like to use it myself,..I have always liked shorter rifles around blinds and tree stands. I have a couple BLRs and really like their short 40" length in tight spots and thick cover. The Midas is 39 1/2" so I think they would also be very handy for my application. So I am wondering how you guys like them.
I really like the X-Bolt that I have,...but there are lots of times I wish it was shorter.

Thanks.

I have used the Weatherby Youth in 7-08 as a go to rifle, and I like the handiness.
It does not kick so the scope placement closer to my eye does not bother me and in the cold weather, wearing a thick coat makes it fit nicely. Nimble and quick...I would say go for it.
BTW I am 6' 2".

I have an A bolt micro medallion, chambered in 284 win. I find the short action and 60 degree bolt throw fast and easy to cycle for my short arms. I'm only 5'7" in height. The 20" barrel make it quick and easy to get out of the truck. They are nice to pack around. The tang safety is a nice feature. Get one, I think you will like it.

I am 6 foot 210..... I have shouldered the xbolt micro and it fit me well.. as well as the rem 7, which also fit me well..... I am a ruger guy and shouldered the compact.... guess what, fit me well....

In rifles, with scope mounted accordingly, I have had no issues with LOP..... shotguns are a different story.....

I would think one of these in 308 would be pretty slick. Not sure about the velocity loss with the 20" barrel. A 7-08 would also be pretty slick.

I find the micro is a good fit but the micro Midas is a little too short when it comes to rifles setup for her that I borrow without moving the scope. That being said a slip on recoil pad on the micro Midas and I'm back in a comfortable position. :)

Right on guys,...

pete dobinson,....A-bolt in 284win,....I would love to get my hands on an A-bolt in 284win.
The 284 win make's it collectable but a 7-08 would be as good. Infact, with a 7-08 you can seat the bullets out longer. Don't get me wrong, I love the 284 win. Chambered in a model 70 short action would allow for a longer C.O.L. Then you could load up 140 gr accubonds and hornady interbonds ect with out seating the bullet past the ogive in the case. With the micro your a little limited in bullet choice.

Got a micro hunter, fits perfect from prone to standing, 5' 11" and fat.

You could just have the factory barrel on your current rifle shortened.
