Citori 725 sporting, which rib and barrel length??

I'm new to shooting clays. I've shot rifle competitively for years and then handgun. However my new club has a really great group of trap shooters and I finally have the time and money to try a new discipline.

So it's time to get my own shotgun, haven't owned one in years. I'm pretty well settled on a Citori 725 sporting. Fit me very well. Use will be about 2/3 trap and 1/3 skeet and sporting clays.

Do I get 30 or 32 inch barrels and do I get one with a high rib?

The reason I ask is that when I tried a high rib gun it made a big difference. Esp as I was able to look out the center of my prescription glasses.

Any and all advice appreciated. I'm new to this so be gentle. I want to budget about 3-4K for a decent gun that I can give to my son in a few years.

I'm a high rib guy, so you know which way my vote will go. I also prefer 32's over 30" due to making a smoother swing and generally a better balance overall, (my opinion).
I purchased a 725 Trap version not long after their release, absolutely a wonderful shotgun. Were it to have 32" barrels, I very well may have kept it.
With the adjustable comb, you'd have a great all around clays gun. Go with it!
 
Short rib vs high rib is more of a personal preference thing so shoot what you like. 30 or 32 " barrels will both work fine for what you are doing and again mostly preference. I have a 30" and a 32" 725 sporting. Both low ribs. Honestly shot the 30" better then the 32". I have the 30" for sale and the 32" probably be for sale in january because i have bought a K80. They have both been great guns.
 
If it was a "trap only" gun, I would say high rib and 32", but if you are going to use it for clays and skeet, even some of the time, I will say "Standard rib" 30".
 
I have a 625 with 30" barrels and a sporting rib. I shoot mostly trap and it works fine. That said, I wouldn't be opposed to a high rib either.

I would however recommend an adjustable comb as mentions previously.
