Flush fitting magazine for SKS?

I was wondering if anyone used one of these and how they work.

Any mods required to make them work, do they feed well? Thanks.

I believe those are the 5 round magazines from China that were made for the US market in the 1980s. They're not terrible, should feed just fine.

I hunted with an SKS that had a flush fitting magazine. That one was the same box as normal, but the floorplate was flat and had a tang for the release. Everything was flat like the original except not a deep drawn stamping. Handy to carry on the point of balance too.

That's why I'm interested in it. Wonder if there are any other options out there - did not find much on Goofle.

The last time I tried to find one I was messaging sellers on eBay and they said they couldn't ship to Canada legally, which is true. If you find a lead on some please shoot me a PM as a flush fit would be much better for hunting.

Or you could cut the existing mag yourself for free. All of my SKSs are cut flush and work fine.

Note the ones on eBay won't work with stripper clips without modification. I guess for hunting that's not a big issue but it should be noted nonetheless.

I purchased several over the years of the Chinese version, they work very well. They pop up on EE every so often. I got most of mine at U.S. gun shows. They are still common in the U.S for sale. The Americans want large capacity mags not 5 rounder's.
