Yes, they're expensive, but that's the price we have to pay. If someone can make the identical mags cheaper and sell them for less we'd be all over it.

Actually the mag laws were brought in by the Progressive Conservative`s, under Mulroney. Kim Cambell was the Justice Minister.

Yup, they were "progressive" all right. That's when we were getting screwed by the left and right and not a friend in sight.


Back on topic, I have a couple E-landers and they work great, nice quality, feel good and lower profile.
 
My experience with them is they do seldom lock the bolt open on last round. Occasional failure to feed because front end has slipped down a tad. I can't say these work 100% in M1A unfortunately.

Maybe not in your's, but all 5 of mine worked flawlessly in all THREE of my M305s
