Well, it's that time of year again, and once again the evil little fairies have struck leaving me short. I need to sell something quick to make Christmas a go for the kids.

In your opinion which of these two rifles would be worth more or sell quick.

1: Browning X-Bolt composite Stalker in 325 WSM with a Leupold FX2 6x36 and three magazines.

2: Remington Model 7 Stainless Synthetic in 7mm-08 with a Leupold FX3 1.5-5x20 Heavy Duplex.

Brass and Redding deluxe die sets available for each.

If you want a real answer rather than speculation, simply put both on the EE for your asking price along with a note that you're selling the one that get's the first "I'll take it". Sell one, take down the ad, you have your answer.

Good on you for thinking of the kids --- hope it all works out and you and your family have a Merry Christmas.

Hard to sell anything at this time of year. I couldn't even get people to bite on 1/3rd price hevi-shot...

If you just want cash, there might be a local store that buys rifles instead of doing consignment. Bear in mind they will want to make a profit on it at around 75% of its value, so you will be getting 30%-50%.

Hope X-mas works out for your kids.

The 7/08 would bring more $$ esp if the scope was sold separate.

Pics naturally, I don't even bother to read EE ads with no pics. Lol

I'll think on it a bit and list them later, or tomorrow.

Rem 7 will go faster, and 7-08 is far more attractive to more shooters... priced fairly, it will go quick... a .325 WSM, not so much... definitely sell the scope separately... or throw $150ish out the window.

The X bolt is still available anywhere, any time. So if that is your rifle of choice, then your options are open.
The stainless model 7 in stainless in no longer in production, so finding a used one is the only way to go.
I paid 800 or 850 for my Model 7, 7mm08 in stainless last year, IIRC. Did I overpay, perhaps, but that is what I wanted, so I grabbed it while I could because I didn't know when I'd find the next one.
Hope that helps.

I know the Seven is now not offered in stainless, and this one has seen less than a box of rounds. It's been a safe queen since I bought it about 10 years ago. I was going to take it after Stone Sheep, then ended up bringing two different rifles. I'd hate to see it go, but alas, a guy can't own it all right? Lol.

Sadly I don't have a single rifle that can be replaced later, even the X-Bolt stalker isn't offered in 325 any more, and it's a fave cartridge of mine. And the rifle is an amazing handling, low recoiling, accurate and reliable platform.

How much cash do you need for Xmas?..... Either of those rifles and scoped will fetch a good price..... Just wonder if you could maybe sell a scope or two and rescope later..... Sorry for your luck, it took me years to reach a point where I only sold guns to buy other guns, two boys so I know the feeling.......

That's not a bad idea, $600 should cover it all, it probably bothers me more than anyone about xmas, but I am used to providing very well for the family, not this too poor to pay attention crap.

Scopes are easily replaceable....

Some are!! lol

I tried finding another "non illuminated", Heavy Duplex, VX3 1.5-5x20. Couldn't find one anywhere.

My Nikon Monarch 3.5-10 (original series) to me is basically irreplacable as it towers over their new models.

The only two scopes I own that are still offered is the FX2 6x36 and a Meuller. Lol

I have Redfields and Bushnells from back when they were excellent quality, Weavers, etc...
