SKS & Ammo Combo

Just picked this up on Saturday. After cosmoline cleanup the rifle looks great. They were really helpful and friendly, I told the guy that was helping me that I was a newbie and he set me up with every thing I needed.

Me too, right around 1230. I couldn't find a good non-force matched hardwood stock, so I was relegated to take a laminate stocked 53.

Yeah they get a lot of flak around here but where else can you go where they open the big glass cabinet and let you pick through a couple dozen SKS's

Let us know how things go when you get a chance to shoot it! If you are able, pictures are nice but any kind of report will be good.

Took it out today, drove up to Sylvester road aka little Iraq and shot off 140 rounds of the surplus ammo without a hitch. I love this thing well worth the money.

Wonderful! The great thing about SKS' is that you can count on them. You will rarely get an SKS that will have problems.

Yesterday, I had my SVT-40 along; the first shot caused the trigger group to fall out (I hadn't thumped it into place properly)
the next few shots had a feeding problem, then when I was cleaning it at home I wiped the extractor too hard causing it to
snap off and fly thru the air into a pile of open storage boxes, which I had to sort thru till I found it. I still love my SVT.
