7,62x39 who has the best deals now

I think on a per-round basis, Budget Shooter supply had the best price, last time I looked, which was just after Cabelas Black Friday sale stopped.

This would be a great thread to post new lowest price per-round, and keep track of same.

Lever Arms has 1500 rounds for $325.00 (before taxes, shipping).

They *CLAIM* it's non-corrosive, but I have been warned by a buddy that there is a history of misrepresenting corrosive ammo as non-corrosive. I unfortunately ordered some before I found this out, when it arrives I'll probably have to test it.

that is definatly NOT the best deal around and it is not non corrosive

Probably the worst deal for surplus 7.62x39 right now and it is 100% corrosive.

I believe the last time I looked Marstar now with their free shipping was one of the better deals on 7.62x39.

Doctor Deals, in Moncton, has 1500 rds corrosive for $219. Decent enough prices for smaller amounts. $3.75 for 20rds, if I recall.

Just how much of that corrosive stuff do you have to shoot to do damage to your rifle?

None of it is corrosive in the sense that it could "wear" a barrel, it is the chloride deposit formed by the firing of the primer
that attracts moisture and rusts a barrel. Most SKS have chrome lined barrels so it is only the gas tube and the firing pin
that are worrysome as far as rusting goes. A shot of WD-40 after use is enough to stop the rusting if you don't feel like
doing a full strip down cleaning. I know all this because we discuss it in Red Rifles regularly.

Wolverine does have the lowest prices, but they don't offer free shipping so that it becomes more expensive than other suppliers, am I right?

Well, free shipping is ALWAYS nice. But most vendors definitely do not offer it. Sometimes those that do, balance it out but raising the product price enough to keep them in the black.
Cough! Marstar Cough!
I think when talking shipping crates of ammo, one's going be paying alot anywhere you are. (Within reason)

What is your experience when buying from Wolverine? I wanted to get their $199 crate of S&B X39 but the shipping was going to be $60 which
would have made it more expensive than getting the same crate from Budget Shooter Supply. Maybe I did not choose the correct shipping option?

Always call them and get shipping quoted over the phone. They will be first to admit that their shipping calculator isn't the best or most accurate.
A few times I had the same $60 quote. I purchased, and was billed. Then they would either credit the difference of the shipping ($26-28) to my card or adjust it before it hit my card.

Hey! Thanks, my next crate will come from Wolverine!
