XCR Extended Forearm

I'm definitely interested but did they change the gas blocks on the new rifles, doesn't look like there's clearance for these to work on the older ones

Gorgeous. But two concerns on practicality...

1. It looks like switching the gas setting would require removing the barrel at least partway. Not a show-stopper, but a show-slower so to speak...
2. The weight at the forend. I've not fired an XCR-L, but I have fired the XCR-M both with the keymod+light barrel, and the quad rail+heavy barrel. While the keymod and light barrel is an improvement, additional weight at the front of the rifle is a step in the wrong direction.

What this would be PERFECT for is a 20" heavy barrel XCR-M, and set that summ##### up as a Designated Marksman's Rifle - a pistol grip with a palm-shelf, bipod, and a high-end, high-mag optic, and a different stock (the FAST is a bit too wobbly for a decent DMR, and a monopod at the back would be a solid choice too).

my keymod + light barrel is lighter than the 16" AR15 with full Magpul furniture that is sold for it.... i think a bit longer of a forend will be fine.

Nice, It was between a XCR or a Tavor and I went with the Tavor because you could get the extended front handguard to cover the barrel more. Guess i'm getting an XCR when they come out with these :) I'm still keeping my Tavor tho just get a different caliber for the XCR. Like having cake then getting some pie as well

As per the Wolverine Days video in which Alex Robinson shows off the XCR 300 Blackout conversion, the gas block is adjustable through the oval-shaped holes in the upper receiver.

Agreed. I'm not sure I could get behind this as an "everyday" setup. Extra weight is not what the front of the XCR needs. Seriously, my only quips about this rifle have been the front-heavyness of it. This is why I want to try out a Mini/Micro .223 version of the gun with a lightweight barrel and keymod upper. I think it might be fantastic (and Restricted, unfortunately, but oh well).

I'm curious what these will look like with a Canadian non restricted barrel. Would it be possible to get a picture of one?
The bottom right rifle in the OP pic has a longer barrel,18.6 perhaps,or the others are all 14"?
Thanks but no thanks,I'll pass on this butt ugly, over length upper.....I'd sooner spend my $$ on a shorter restricted barrel,or just get an AR.....or hold my breath waiting for the Federalis to de-restrict SBRs and mag caps and ARs and.....
