oooooooooooooooh ya!
Brimstone Tier 1 on a brand new stock ruger 10/22 trigger group!
2 1/4 trigger pull, no creep, barely 1mm of pull to break and reset.

trigger feels fantastic!
gonna install it tomorrow in my 50th Anv. Edition 10/22 and take it out for a test drive on Wed when i get off work.

put the new trigger group in the gun this evening.
very nice!

im going to head out to the range in the morning to give it a go.
so far im very impressed with the trigger just from what i can see from going over it and testing it in the shop.
but the final word will be tomorrow.

maybe ill take my 10/22 with the VQ trigger group in it as a equal comparison?

Nice ..expensive?

Tier 1 job was $99
I was about to pull my own trigger group out and send it down to them when I noticed they had an option to just buy a new stock Ruger one from them.
Upon thinking about it I figured it would cost me between 20-30 to send mine down to them and the new one costed $50 so for the extra $20 I opted to get the new one. This way I have my original trigger group as a back up or for parts should I ever have need.
(Or for an incentive to dive into another 10/22 build for this winter!)

funny thought.

couple years ago i picked up all the VQ stuff for one of my Rugers.
if memory serves me correctly i picked up the auto bolt release, the HP action kit and the bolt tune up kit from Volquarsen and all that together ran me a hell of a lot more then i just spent on a tier 1 tuned trigger from Brimstone.

and a lot less hassle to get.
no searching high and low and waiting for stores to get their next shipment of VQ in.

just went over to Brimstone web page and clicked order - 10 days later it arrived.

interested to see how it matches up to my VQ or my Timney or my Kidd.
will know better tomorrow.

co-workers are texting all saying they are coming out for a shoot as well, sounds like we may have us a shooting party tomorrow!

its half the price of what i spend on my Timney.
its 1/3 of the price i spend on my Kidd.
and its less then i spent on my VQ upgrade parts and i got a whole stock trigger group that i can either sell or use for parts.

in all honesty if this works as good as i suspect it will i fear i may feel foolish for not doing this sooner.

ill put it through its paces tomorrow morning and ill get a couple guys at work to test it against their stock rugers and ill report back.
depending on weather ill try to record it too.

It's nice to see that not the only one raving about my Brimstone tier one trigger job. I too can't figure out why anyone would spend the big bucks on a Kidd or Timney when you can get this for a fraction of the price. I just wish our Canadian dollar was a bit stronger right now.

ok

went out to the range today with 2 guys from work after we got off shift.
did some totally non scientific testing of the trigger.
really i just wanted to see how it felt compared to other triggers and get some honest opinions from my co workers as to what they thought of the triggers.

took out 2 totally stock ruger 10/22's.
took out 1 ruger that had all the VQ upgraded internals.
took out 1 ruger with a Brimstone Tier 1 Trigger job.

all 3 of us came to the same conclusion.
the VQ is way better then the stock ruger trigger (thats a no brainer)
and the Brimstone is way WAY better then the VQ.

it was cold as all heck out so we didnt shoot more then about 200 rounds (-22)

also i didnt take out my Timney or my Kidd 2 stage as price wise they are not in the same catagory.

but consensus is the Brimstone is a win!
so much so both my coworkers are ordering a Tier 1 for their 10/22's.
that right there says how good they are i think.

uploading a short video of the fun and gun morning - will add it once its up.

Brimstone... The BEST 10/22 trigger I have ever had, should have never sold it. I need to buy another one!!

You should post some shooting vids... Can you say, Mag-Dump? Pewpewpewpewpew
