Where can i buy new or used 307 win brass ?

Recently purchased a nice 307 win lever gun , having a very hard time sourcing brass , anyone have any ideas where I can get my hands on some ?

You could try Battleford Bait and Tackle near Battleford Saskatchewan.

I was there about 6 years ago, and he had about 6 boxes of .307 ammo. When I asked him about it, he said he always brings it in for a guy around there. Maybe he still does???

I'd try using 308 brass.

The lack of a rim on 308 makes this a bad idea, good luck getting it to extract!! The 307 is basically a rimmed 308.

Correct. But right now he has a paperweight and his rifle may extract the 308 case.

308 sometimes works. not the best but least you can fire it. keep the loads on the milder side if using 308 brass.

It won't extract .308 brass. Edit: mine wouldn't at least.

Using .308 brass is not a good idea anyway. If the extractor does grab at all, the contact area will be very small and much more likely to break the extractor or the rim.
Try Bashaw Sports, they had .307 brass last summer.

If you do find brass buy a good amount, it will only get harder to find as time goes on.

Correct, I had a 307 in the late 80's. I know first hand it needs 307 brass, and will not extract 308 brass.

I sold my 307 brass, but I have some 356 brass that can be necked down.

I use 308 brass in mine all the time and never had one stay in the chamber. I do all my bench, gopher, coyote shooting with 308 and I use 307 for deer and other important things just in case. Using 308 saves my hard to find 307 stuff.

What model of rifle are you using? I haven't seen one yet where the extractor would grab the rim of the rimless 308 yet.
