Value of my Winchester 9422

don't recall for sure. I wouldn't pay more than $900-1000 personally, although that likely doesn't help you.

I have Winchester 9422 Commemorative model with the gold leaf. I hardly ever use this gun. I would like to know the value of it. It's a Cherokee Trail of Tears 1839 model.

Most collector editions like that are wanted in new condition, and in original box. A used 9422 non-collector in decent condition can go anywhere from $5-600 and up.

The 9422 in any form - regular model, deluxe or commemorative etc - don't seem to stay up for sale on the EE long.

Speaks to the general desirability of that particular model.

The guys that get $800 - $1000.00 for their 9422's have then bnib unfired condition. The condition of the box on how tattered or the wax paper has a bearing on the price.
A used one with no box will be worth less.

I always thought my Browning Safari 243 was the most expensive rifle I own. But after reading this thread looks like my Winchester may give it a run.
