Hey what are you guys running for cheek rests ?

I have a repo scope and mount and looking for a good cheek rest. So far all I found that is half decent is the Bradley Cheek rests, but they are hella expensive.

Is their any cheaper alternatives ?

I thought about going this route but med rings kept my scope low enough for a decent cheek/chin weld. If I had to do a riser I would likely grab a padded leather lace up dealy like a few people around here have on their shotguns and 91/30's. Easy to remove and keep the rifle in stock trim, but leather also looks more correct to me on an old battle rifle.

Whenever I have a rifle that requires high rings I use a leather cheek rest from ITC Marksmanship. You can order them directly from them in whatever colour and material you want.

You might like this: Much more than half decent at a much better price. Made in Canada.

Depending on the optic you might be able to fit low rings but..., that will put the front tube of the scope really close to the ejection port and spent casings. I had some shells hitting my front bell with the med rings so I added a shell deflector.

Well after some more research, and watching 8541 Tactical youtube vid, I ordered the bradley in woodland camo.

I'm old skool I hold my head with my neck and shoot no resting my Mellon on a rifle could get that eye disease called scope eye. Check your eye after shooting to make sure you didn't get scope eye.
