Been checking out Lee molds that would be suitable for 9mm and the new pistol I have on the way. Like a TC profile for punching paper or maybe a SWC. Lee has a .358 diameter they recommend for 9mm but just wondering if that would have to be sized down? Would be nice to have bullets I can run in more than one gun since a 38 I've been looking at may have to be snapped up. What are you guys running for your 9mm autos and any thoughts on 358 in 9mm? Thanks fellas.

My ruger p85 9mm slugs larger than .358, terrible leading and poor accuracy with .356-7. I use RN or RNF at .3585 for good results. The case will bulge slightly, make sure the neck of loaded cartridge is still a slip fit in your chamber.

Cool. Shouldn't have a problem with a slightly bulged case since the final step in my loading routine for pistol is a pass through a FC die and that takes any bulge right out and chambering is a dream.

If you size down a loaded round you will size down your bullet
.358 will be .356-357= leading

Hey just gona throw this out there, lee makes the 6 cavity molds, I really like them I run two at once for speed casting, 1 hour in the garage can yield me a coffee can full. I just find with 9mm sometimes I really get the bug and go through a lot fast, and with the two cavity molds it feels too slow.

Yep agreed. Picked up a six cavity in 452 and now I can really cast quick. Definitely getting a sixer.

Since I went to the Lee 6 cavity moulds I would never go back to 2 cavity. If I alternate two moulds it's easy to crank out 500-600 bullets per hour. I'm using the Lee 125 gr. RN mould for 9mm and it works well for me out of my 9mm 1911. I also tried the TC 9mm tumble lube bullet but had very little luck with it.

I have a Lee 6 cavity in the 9mm TC. Great mold to cast with.

Mixed results with that particular bullet though. Works great in the gf's SAM but finicky in my Beretta 92. Seated out they are okay but too deep and they tumble. It's kind of odd and needs more testing.

Gonna try out the 125gn rf and 105gn SWC 358 molds. Have my doubts about feeding with the SWC but then again I can just dedicate that bullet to the revolver I'll be getting sooner or later.

First you should push a soft lead slug through your 9mm and then measure it to get the real bore diameter.
it is not unheard of, for 9mm, to have 0.357" or larger bores (as opposed to the spec 0.356")
