Flush fit mag without a pin is 6 or 7 rounds, be sure to modify the pin last so you stay legal. At least that is what happened to me.

Seems like a lot of work for an insignificant gain, eh? How about our hopes of one day repealing the 5 round limit?

I didn't realize I said I neither cared or knew about this modification.
The question is genuine and still stands. Guys were doing this a few years back and did a job of it so well, that it looked from arsenal.
Same question was posed, but only answer was that it's easier to hold? Didn't seem justified though, as the OEM length never inhibited my use personally.

All of mine would have loaded 6 so I now leave about 1/2 inch of pin. You can also simply solder a small block on the bottom. The biggest advantages to the mod is that you can carry at the balance point, the less weight the better, use the mag release to load and unload your cartridges and is less offensive to some people.

esthetics? Your telling me it wouldn't matter to you if you bought a brand new rifle and if it had a little rust it would be OK with you?
