JUST FOR FUN SO RELAX

UPDATE----- T97 went back to dealer for factory repair or replacement.

-Started to burst fire
-Accurary turned into 3in at 30 yards
-Dealer said this is the 4th one since the Holliday

Not the most scientific test lol. So we shot the same XM193 at the same time etc.... From the same stripper clip (5 each). From 30 yards using a bipod and rear bag shooting 5 rounds in 15 seconds. Not super slow just controlled..... Then headed out to 100 yards. We were going to do 5 rounds 5 times but it would not help the Norinco too much lol. The IUR will be doing that test next week this is the first day out with the IUR. It looks like it will be sub MOA with a little slower shooting. The T97 well..... ITS A T97 !!!!

Not expecting.....lol.... Quality goes a longggggg way... It's just to show some people who think that a 18in barrel is more accurate then a 15.7... And to show how much money to put into a platform. Not hating on the T97, it's good for a budget non restricted. But don't put $2000 glass on it...

I have had way better groupings with my Type 97 with an eotech at both yardages not sure what happened with yours. That aside, you are comparing an entire gun to an upper that cost just about as much as the bull pup itself. Me thinks the test isn't entirely fair.

Not a hate thread.... Could be the quality control on Norincos side... I will be back next week to do another test...

Barrel length don't matter if the gun isn't know for being accurate.

Has anyone won a queens medal with a T97? Diemaco says all.

Ummm, in Canada only CF members shooting issued kit are eligible to win the QM. When a Commonwealth nation that awards a Queens medal adopts the T97, then somebody will win one with that rifle.

Since all CF members compete with Diemaco rifles it's hard to say the rifle enabled the win. Somebody with a Diemaco by default has to be awarded the QM.

How is it not a fair comparison? Same ammo, same distances. One shoots noticeably more accurately than the other. How does cost factor in an accuracy comparison.

Edit: missed the fact there were two different shooters, that messes with the comparison.

Exactly.

So far orange to apples we manage to get better scores against the brits ( with a their issued SA80 ) in general in the same controlled type of shooting. Cf did well in Australia. But did lose against some crazy asians and some other weapon systems. Does that mean anything? Probably not.

Now is this fair? ;) Our Browning against brand new Glocks? hehe

from the first post it reads like two diff shooters. also one rifle has a bipod while the other does not. how can be compared at all. make them both prone unsupported shot by the same person, then i'll listen to this 'review'
