Can anyone advise me on what size Pelican case to get to store/transport four handguns? If it is easier or cheaper to just get two cases that hold two handguns then possibly I'll go that route. I'm not interested in those flimsy Crappy Tire plastic cases, I'd like something a little more substantial for my babies. Thanks in advance!

I use a pelican 1500 series case with the pick and pluck foam. Can hold 4 handguns plus 4 mags for each easily. Depending on how you lay it out you could fit more. Has clasps for locking the case with padlocks.

You might want to try Princess Auto - they now carry Pelican clone cases that appear to be just as stout & well made as the originals, at a fraction of the cost of Pelican.

i have a Seahorse SE-540 Quick Draw pistol case...per their website:

Meets and Exceeds FAA and TSA requirements for Firearms Airline Transport as Check-In luggage.
Meets and Exceeds California DOJ Handgun Vehicle Transport Laws.

That sounds like a great idea. Next time their ammo cans go on sale I'll head over. Thanks for that.

Buy once....cry once. There is a reason they are a fraction of the price. I get all my pelican stuff from 3w's.pelicancasesforless(dot)com. I am only 17km from US border so I maintain a US post office box and drive down when they call.

hakx

This is nice. Can you pull our foam blocks to accommodate trigger locks? That's the root of my problem, trigger locks take up so much damn room that I can't use the manufacturers cases.

I got a Pelican 1560 for Christmas. I have modified the Pick & Pluck foam accordingly for 5 pistols with trigger locks.

The Pelican cases are quite reasonable through B & H Photo. They now offer free shipping to Canada.

I just use a Samsonite briefcase I got at goodwill for $8 (with keys). Put foam in it, and it carries four full sized handguns nicely

Now that looks convenient and tasteful

hey guys so this thread inspired me a little, i need a rifle length pelican case and i've been trying to reach out to a local kijiji seller to save a few bucks but the guy is useless at answering messages. sooooo long story short, i went to searching sellers and found that Henrys. com is still running its boxing day sale and pelican cases are included..

The Huntshield cases at Canadian tire are decent, even more so when you catch them on sale.

For four handguns? Pelican 1510. Gives you room for accessories, or you can move things around and fit up to about 8 guns in it depending on whether you opt for the foam or for the padded divider set.

If you just want one or two, Pelican 1170. But remember, more cases = more locks = more keys.
