Yes, most places in the US it is about $25/lb which = about CDN$35/lb. So CDN$48/lb is an additional 35% on top of the exchange rate.

Yes, but it's made to order for a US company, and it's shipped in bulk to the US where it is packaged and distributed by that US company for their US customers. They let a little trickle up to us, making sure their margins stay healthy enough to justify it.

The point is all the control (and most of the costs) is US based. Whether it's made in Canada or Australia or the USA or Czech Republic isn't very relevant.
