Hey all,

Just wondering what people's thoughts are on prvi brass? I've read a lot of reviews on them online, some good some bad. But my main reason for asking is because what I've read are all out dated, some reviews and info going on more than 7-8 years old. Have you used it lately or know people that have? How was it and how does it compare up to other brass? Lots could have changed by now.

I started using it a couple of years back when the US consumption was stupid and nothing else was available... Love the stuff.

Now it is all I use for my FTR competition rifles and LR rigs.

tough, strong.. heavy and thick. Drilled FH, well annealed out of the box.

I do neck turn for prep but that is pretty much it.

Works for me.

I use PRVI brass in 7X57, 8X57 and 7.62X39... excellent quality, much better than Winchester or Remington brass IMO.

As others have said, Privi brass is good stuff. Can't recall ever having a case head separation or cracked neck with these cases in 10 firings in an M305 which is hard on brass.

I love the thicker rim for my 303's.

Their 7.62x51mm works well in my M14.

I have just started using my PRVI 5.56x45mm brass. No issues as of yet.

To sum it up; I have had no issues, and lots of success working with PRVI in the above mentioned calibres.

Well all these comments so far a leaning towards that it's good brass. Looks like I'll be placing an order tomorrow for some. Thanks for your opinions guys! Not one bad one so far...

I also looked at a lot of internet reviews/comments on PPU/NNY. I have been using is very happily in 9.3x62 (Grafs headstamp) so bought some once fired 6.5x55 this last week.
Most people seem to like it, a few don't. The most common knock on it is the thickness and resulting diminished capacity. I am keen to see how the 6.5x55 works for accuracy instead of my usual Winchester (which were not in great condition out of the bag, brand new. Cull rate for split necks was about 5% before sizing and they were badly bashed up.)

Can't say enough good things about it. Primer pockets have been tight even after 7 firings of a hotter 308 load. I use it in 30-06, 6.5-06, 308, 270 and 243. Will be using it as well for 300wm in the new year.

Case prep is a normal part of my regiment and they fire like a dream.

I think I'll try to find some in a month or two in 222 and 243, I need a bunch for both of these from the same manufacturer.
