Does anybody have a rifle built on one of those stiller rimfire actions? Or any other BR style rimfire? I'm curious about them, never seen one before.

I have a Stiller Copperhead and I know of a couple Swindlehurst actioned rifles. There is also I believe a Stiller 2500 that has a few stellar(or is that Stiller) groups to its credit. What application were you thinking of?
Benchrest competition or some serious plinking ? Have a look here also h t t p://w w w .killoughshootingsports.com/ and in the rimfire forum on Benchrest Central

The urge to build an uber accurate rimfire has been in the back of my mind for a while. Don't know if I would build a full BR gun or something a little more practical.

Regardless what you decide to build if at all you have to keep in mind, there are features of a BR rifle that enable them to shoot tiny groups or shoot a clean on any of the various competition targets.(ARA, USBR etc) One should also not forget the ability of the driver. Shooting those small groups takes time and practice.
There are also non-custom target rifles which may surprise you with the accuracy they can deliver. They just don't have the exclusivity of a custom.

without a half dozen wind flags to go with your eley or lapua match ammo your just hanging out at the range making noise..........

Why not just buy a 60 year old Winchester model 52?

Sorry guys, I couldn't resist. Shot this group the other day. Winds were light and variable (no flags) and the temperature was -5c

Nice 200 yd group. But one has to keep things in perspective. What will the rifle do as an average over many groups on different occasions and what can the driver do with it in match conditions ? The under pressure, on demand thing in conditions presented on the day can make for sometimes indifferent results.
A custom rifle or an excellent factory match rifle is no guarantee of consistent stellar results.

I realize that. It was kind of a sarcastic post.

My 52 -D Winchester is made in 1942 & looks like it was made 10 years ago. I was lucky to find her.
It has the Lyman Model 52 Extension Peep Sight . With CCI Standard velocity (code #0032) on a good day
shooting from the bench it keeps all the hits inside a dime @ 50 yds. A keeper for me.
A bit heavy to shoot offhand but a joy on the bench . ,,,,,,,,,,,, Frank

I shoot my 2 Anschutzes ( one 64 MPR and the other 54 supermatch) with Lapua center X ammo. Sometimes I Wonder if getting the more expensive Midas + would be Worth it.
I guess I have to try some day.
