I would rather deal with a cheap house with high interest rate mortgage than an expensive house with low interest rate mortgage. The interest rate is just a game but the actual price of the house is not lol survive few months of high interest rate mortgage and you will then have a cheap house with a cheap low interest rate mortgage.

If the 80s provided otherwise. Most ppl lost their backs to high interest rates.
 
My first house, I bought in the early 80's, interest rate was 12.9% and people thought I got a great rate, it went as high as 18%! People were throwing the keys on the floor and walking away!

I think some things may go up that much, but China's economy is slowing and their buck isn't doing any better than ours, so hopefully the increases won't be that much, even though trade is in US dollars, with the Chinese dollar down the American Buck will buy more,,, I hope, either way, I am glad I pretty much have all the guns and ammo I want/need, except the .40 and lots of reloading supplies! I will wait for any good deals to come along and Canam is tops at pulling off the best!

Done, storage is the issue currently. NRCAN requires a huge open area for storage

Ummmm.... I was a teen in the early 80's...... Ummm. I completely disagree. a $300000 today at a 5 year mortgage rate of 3% your payment is $1422.63.

If that house dropped by 50% to $150000 tomorrow and the interest rate on a 5 year mortgage went to 1981 levels of 21.75% your payment would now be $2731.22.........

Yay for a housing price crash and interest rate hike!!!!! YAY......
