Hey Fellas,

Last summer I bought one of those Robinson Arms Keymod XCR-L's in 223 and then promptly buried it in the safe and forgot about it. So I dug this thing out last weekend and was pottering about with it and noticed those odd shaped holes in the handguard. Is that what 'keymod' refers to?

Have any of you done any handloading for it? Any load recommendations would be appreciated too if ya have 'em.

Yes they're the keymod holes. You can buy keymod attachment points for it. Rails, sling attachments .Try CFE 223 and Hornady 53 g vmax. I had them grouping at the 1 MOA mark.

I've been guilty of doing the same.....having the purchasing power for expensive toys is often the result of a career/job that prevents you from having the time to play with them.

I grabbed an Armalite M15 3gun with the keymod rail last summer....but I haven't tried mounting anything on it yet.

It comes, Mike. I'm an old fart with all my bills paid. When I was your age I couldn't afford shells to save my life! I can't remember but I think they were only 2400 at the time...
