Transfer approved in less than a day? Say what?

So I aquired a new Walther P1 from a guy here on CGN, and he initiated the transfer yesterday, less than 20 hours later I have the transfer certificate in hand. I wasn't expecting it to be so speedy, considering it was near 10 days for when I bought my first handgun. Anyone else have a transfer approved in less than a day?

The fastest transfer I ever had was under one hour last January-- though that was from a business, not private sale.

Same here in Ontario, took 24hours for a transfer approval.

Transfers are fast , getting the reg , that's another story. Usually I get the reg two weeks after the pistol, however my last pistol is still in the mail and I got the registration certificate last week.

BC CFO approved my CC iur rifle transfer in under 23 hours. I got the transfer number at 6:56 AM Jan 4, Jan 5 5:47 AM transfer approved email.

Darnit. When was that? mine was submitted right before Christmas and two days ago CFO told me that they are still processing Dec 14th's request. I am in Toronto as well.

In Alberta. Marstar started transfer yesterday in the afternoon, pistola was in the mail by 11am today. Can't complain about that!

Generally less than 24 hours for transfers I've done in AB, had a couple done same day (call in morning, get email 5 hours later from CFO).

I've had them completed in hours as well. No complaints here.

I'm in BC, and private purchases are most often done within 24 hours; frequently same day if I call in early in the day.

Conversely, I just sold into Onterrible, and the guy waited three weeks! He already owned several restricted.

Up to the CFO, policies, and staffing!

Same here bud, Quebec CFO still hasn't processed my Dec.21 transfer despite telling me this week as well as last week that it would be done the next day...
