Where to shoot and where to buy?

Ok so I work at Crappy tire in Niagara Falls, and one of our Benjamin Classic .22's came in without a scope (return or shipping error I dunno) so seeing as we are currently clearing out all sorts of old stock I scooped it up. Drove over to bass pro around the corner and put a scope on it (we were out of stock) and I'm still at about half price from retail.

The only problem is I have no where to use it, I haven't shot it yet so the scope isn't set yet. There's no crown land and I don't know anyone with a farm, so other then driving an hour out to Silverdale I don't have a lot of options other then letting it collect dust in the closet. Are there any air specific or just air accommodating ranges that I seem to failed to find in the Niagara Area?

Which brings me to my other question at work we sell firearms, bows, and air guns, however our airguns all cap out at the 495 no license required limit. Is there anyone carrying upper fps airguns either in the Golden Horseshoe or in Canada online as I'd like to see some options as that air venturi wingshot looks interesting.

Have at these guys.
I have had good luck dealing with D/L and SSS.
Can't help you with a place to shoot.

Mostly the old adage of, location location location. In Niagara falls at least it is against city by-laws to shoot an air gun in side city limits so I can't set up in the back yard. The two conservation areas that allow hunting are almost as much of a drive as going to Silverdale and are both wetlands which at least right now with the weather unable to make up its mind as to what season we are in seems like a good way to end up cold and wet.

A shame.

If you are in Niagara you're not far from a club that regularly hosts terrific airgun events (weather permitting ) . There's also a weekly range night for airguns with the Greater Toronto Airgun Club, although that may be a bit far for you. Your best plan is to check out the CAF forum online for more information.

Airgun Source in for sure. They are great to deal with. I just bought a Walther Terrus and a new Hawke scope. Great suggestion for both by the way.

OK Nevwyn, try this. Go to a Tim Hortons at the edge of just outside the city limits at about 8am. Every Tim Hortons has a group of old timers and locals that sit in the same spot most mornings sucking back coffee and tea while solving all the world's problems. Present yourself (well groomed and well mannered) sincerely and ask if you could buy a round of beverages in exchange for a few minutes of their time. Ask if they or anyone they know will let you target shoot on their property and/or in an old barn with your pellet gun. Be prepared to offer a days work in exchange for the favour. I have used this method for getting permission to hunt or access land to fish for decades. Made some good friends along the way as well.

Your best bet might be the Tim's on the 116 just south of Niagara Falls near the Stevensville conservation area. Good luck.

Cool thanks guys.

Well groomed you say? So I guess a bright blue beard might be enough to throw that image out the window. Actually that is a pretty damn good idea all said and done I'll have give that one a shot.
