I have a Savage Mk II BVSS. It is a real tackdriver with Win subsonic, but that is now impossible to find, but I was able to find some CCI subsonic at SAIL. I started having problems with ejection, so I naturally thought the ejector was shot. Savage sent me a new extractor, ejector and spring. I went back to the range, same issue. Someone told me that they had issues but when they used 2 springs, it fixed the issue. I tried it, no luck. So then, I took the bolt from another MkII I have. Same issue. But with Win or Remmy, no problems. I haven't tried the CCI with my other MkII. I wonder if my chamber may be a little tight, or if others have had similar problems? Do you think polishing the chamber could help, although it appears smooth and shiny.

ive had an issue with mini mags lately in my ISSC M22 pistol, normally they cycle and fire no prob with maybe 1 or 2 ftf per 500, but lately its 10-15 per 100 round sleeve :(, thunderbolts and blazer work great though, so switching to them for the time being

Cci's were flawless in my mk2, but Winchester 333 was jamomatic. They wouldn't eject after chmabering with or without firing. Then after using them the cci stopped extracting, so I took apart the ejector and firing pin cleaned it really well reassembled (three times) and it worked flawlessly on cci and federal. I gave away the Winchester.

Odd how finnicky 22's can be. I don't remember having had a single issue with any Win ammo, and very few even with Rem stuff which most people consider junk, but the CCI, which is good quality ammo (for cheap stuff) gives me major headaches. So bad that when the wife asked for ### the other night, it was my turn to say "Not tonite, hon, I've got a headache."

I wonder if putting some jeweler's rouge on the brush would help polish the chamber?

I just checked on another forum, and several guys have had the same issue with the same rifle, and they fixed it by polishing with rouge or toothpaste, so I'll give that a try, testing often. I can't really see overpolishing and making the chamber O/S being a risk with something like rouge.
