VZ58 Gas System question

Is there a difference in the gas system (piston, gas block, gas port, anything related to the operation) between VZ58 in 18.5", standard lenght (15 ish ?") and shorter carbine lenght (10" ish) ?

Or do they share the same parts and only have shorter barrels ?

Shorter barrel in the only difference that I can tell. I have not measured the gas port sizes but visually they look the same. I have both the 19" and the 16" version and you should watch peoples faces when I explain that the shorter one is evil and restricted and the longer one is fine and makes cats purr!

Just like putting an AR15 and T97 or Tavor side by side... Ah pathetic gun laws...

18, 15, and 11.8 have the exact same gas system. 7.5 has a shortened piston.
