I posted this question in the General Firearms section earlier tonight but after some thought I figured it would be better suited here. I bought an M305 tonight and I was wondering where I could find a stripper clip guide because this rifle is missing it. it has some sort of block where the guide should be. Any help would be appreciated.

What is the block you're talking about? Just curious
I am going to guess it had something to do with a scope mount, I think there was a threaded hole in the side, I will take a picture and post it.
It's a stripper clip guide installed in front of the rear sight. If you were to top load your rifle, rather than into an unloaded magazine, you'd line the stripper clip into the slot and just push the rounds down into the loaded magazine.

It's a practice of loading held from bolt action rifles, but long since abandoned.

I know what a stripper clip guide is, my rifle didn't have one. If you click on the link I provided you will see it is just a huge flat top block with a pin or screw mangled beyond recognition lol it is the only beat up piece on the rifle. I am assuming that threaded hole that faces the opposite side of the action was for a bolting point for a scope mount. The rifle looks weird without the stripper clip guide and that other piece is destroyed from the attempted removal by the previous owner.

Yea... bringing this one back! I find myself in need of one aswell. Any information on where I can get one in country? Not in the mood for the exchange rate at the moment.
