Enfield No1 forend spring... where to get ?

Princess Auto. In the surplus section they have a assortment of 100 springs for less than $10.00. The bag I purchased many years ago had 10 springs that were just the right size and gauge and if you cut them in half would net you 20 of them. They work and I have used many others over the years for other firearm repairs. Still have enough to last me my lifetime.

Tradex may have something, I was talking with them recently and their parts section may or may not be up to date, they told me they have a an assortment of parts kicking around for an assortment of different rifles, so not all of them are on the site. Epps is also an option, or try your local gunsmith they may have something. One of the gunsmiths in my area has a ton of assorted parts for everything under the sun, it's simply a matter of asking nicely and talking him into selling it to you. There are also a couple companies in the UK that deal exclusively with Enfield parts. I'm currently starting an Enfield restoration and have been looking all over for the necessary parts, so if you want an authentic one that may be an option. But then a cheap princess auto spring will do the job just as well.
