Dominion primers.... Lee loadmaster...

I've loaded a couple thousand (both SP & LP) in my Loadmasters and had no problems with either. Despite what you might read about the Loadmaster priming system being undependable most problems can be traced back to operator lack of maintenance. If you keep the primer feed system in a Loadmaster clean they are very dependable. I clean mine every 500 rounds or so and virtually never get a tipped primer. Load away with the Dominions. They work fine.

The newer feed system is quite good, the dominion primers are around the hardness of the winchester primers and will be fine. You will note that Federal primers come in much more bulky packaging. this is because the common ones are softer, this not bad, just for different uses, they are to soft for the Lee system, although I have used them. The Lee primes on the up stroke making it hard to feel the priming, that is the biggest issue with the loadmaster.

New Dominion primers are made by Murom in Russia. They are the same as the Wolf primers sold in the US. I think these are what the original poster was talking about, rather than old stock made by CIL decades ago.

Well I guess I stand corrected. I have never seen these "new " Dominion primers. Curious who handles them?
