You may think it's a joke but I have timed myself with a shaved head and with hair. The better aerodynamics do give me better times.![]()

Good thing you didn't try shaving anything else for better aerodynamics![]()

Don't forget that camo pants are banned too
CGN - the final word in misinformation.
Yea "discouraged" whatever that means. Evil looks from the match director?
she was wearing Pink Camo?? Is that not considered to be Camo?
I think it's more about the "spirit" of the division, versus any actual advantage.
Don't forget that camo pants are banned too.
Quoted from the current IPSC rulebook;
Appropriate Dress
5.3.1
The use of camouflage or other similar types of military or police garments other than by competitors who
are law enforcement or military personnel is discouraged.
Enforcement can be quite subjective.
5.3.1
" The Match Director will be the final authority in respect of what garments must not be worn by competitors. "
It is what it is. The rules are as they are and we have to follow them.
Lots of other divisions are available for us to play with pistol modifications in.
So, not banned. I'll stick with my first comment - CGN - the final word in misinformation.
If you show up at a sanctioned IPSC match wearing camouflage pants, the match director can/will send you home.
What's your definition of "not banned"?

I shot the 2014 IPSC Provincials in camo shorts. Not saying this means much either way just sharing.![]()
The whole Team CZ uniform is digi cam.
Long gone are the days where the original concern came from. People aren't showing up trying to look like Rambo or whatnot, which was an issue in some countries due to the overall nannystate pansyness of their governments. The rule is really not a big deal. I'm more annoyed at the metric target ban than anything else
