here is some pics of a gun i just got in the mail.
i put it in here because i think its more of a milsurp then a pistol topic but if the admin wants to move it thats fine.

Its an FN Browning 1922 is was .32acp then converted to 9mm Browning.
it was used by the 260th German infantry division just before they were destroyed in 1944. It also has post war German police markings.

Sorry to burst your bubble but the stag horn is a German proof mark. They didnt mark division logos on any firearms for good reason.

The German eagle, 69 and stag horn are all commercial proof marks added post war, absolutely zero connection to the 260th.

Thank you for the info. I just checked up on it. I got a tip from Facebook about the horn being 260th. I wasn't thinking post war.

I hope my response didn't come off dickish but I have seen folks taken by stories just like this, pay extra and it bothers me. The proof mark is for Ulm and is still used by Walther and H&K. You should correct whomever gave you the wrong info.

It was really my fault jumping to conclusions.
i'm not sure what the marking is on the frame. it looks like HE6E ? any ideas?
