Ideas for receipes for 30-06 168gr BARNES Tipped TSX Boat Tail

Hi there!

I'm used to reload sierra and Nosler Accubond bullets for my 30-06, now I wanted to introduce Barnes TSX bullets, which seems to be very accurate and very good overall...

Sor I got 168gr Tipped TSX Boat Tail, powder will be IMR 4895 or H-4350, and wanted to know if someone had good results with them. My rifle is a Browning A-Bolt stainless.

Yeah, I know that every rifle will have their own preferences, but It can be long and costly to try 5 of every .5 grains incrementations... If somebody have success nearly, lets say for example, 57 grains of H4350, we'll I'll tend to start to play around these loads as a start... That's what I meant. Better if multiples friends tells their loads, so I can make myself a feeling of where to start. I have a 303 Enfield that loves the lowest part of charges given for every bullet that I've tryed, so I always start low on charge now for THAT rifle.

I've good a bit of a universal 30-06 load for 165-168s. Several years ago I needed a culling/population /test load for the 30-06 that I could develops here and have loaded in Australia. That required bullets that were easy to source on both ends and Hodgdons powder which is made by ADI in Australia. Throw in the problem of developing the load at 40 below and shooting it at 40 above. Temperature stability at those extremes proved to be a bit of a fantasy, and 40 below wasn't kind to H4350 or Varget. H4350 wouldn't even crack 2600 fps, Varget did a little better. Since I was running out of time I went with 50.5 gr of Varget which did very well with any 165 grain bullet and the 168 TSX. The velocity came back to 2850 fps when the temps were sane, and two CDS dials later I was set. The load has done very well in all 4 of my 30-06s as far as shooting goes. The TSX came in first for penetration and dead last for fast killing of you were wondering.
 
I've hear nothing but goods comments for the TTSX (tipped TSX) for hunting and for precision... That's why I've choosed T TSX instead of simples TSX, I will hunt with these bullets (Deer most of the time).
