Any polymer like gun that fires .357 magnums?

I dont mind steel frame just not revolvers i meant. I mean something that is in the shape of a glock etc

Most 357s are revolvers with the exception of Coonan and Deseert Eagles.

doubt they will ever make one, due to the recoil factor

They did. It's called a Glock 20. And you will never want a .357 again...

A glock 20 is 10mm not a .357 magnum.

His point is that 10mm Auto eats the .357 Mag for breakfast. I agree with CreamySmooth, too. In a semi 10mm Auto will be what you want. Better performance, better selection of guns and the rimless case works properly out of a magazine.

I've shot a Coonan and a DE chambered in .357Mag and found the grip to be overly long from front to rear in the Coonan and just plain FAT on the DE.

And that's the issue with any semi auto which would be set up for .357Mag. It's a rather long round so the magazine needs to be very wide. And if the gun has the mainspring down along the back strap like so many do then it makes the frame extremely long front to back.

All of which is the reason why cartridges intended for semi auto handguns are so short.

It's also the reason why they came up with the .38Super. It was intended to provide .357Mag performance in a shorter semi auto friendly cartridge length.

10mm round has more (equivalent) energy than the .357 Rem Mag?

From the Hornady website, a 158 grain XTP 357, from an 8" barrel, has 548 ft lb at the muzzle.

A 155 gr XTP 10 mm has 551 ft lb out of a 5" barrel. The 180 gr XTP is nearly identical to the 155.

Hand loading either will obviously give you some gains. The 10 mm is VERY potent with hand loads.
